Short, factual answers about the ElecSimHub power-system simulator and calculators: what is free, what the engine models, where the equipment data comes from, what is deliberately not covered, and how to get a formal quotation.
01Is ElecSimHub free, and do I need an account?
Yes — the simulator and the calculators are free and need no sign-up. The deliverables workspace is free to generate as well: the deliverable list is public, and email sign-in is required only to view and download the full package. Identity is cookie-based so a scheme stays in your browser until you export it or create a read-only share link.
02Does the site send my scheme anywhere without asking?
No. Opening any tool page sends zero calculation requests. A request goes to the engine only when you press Run, and a share request only when you press Share.
03Which standards do the studies follow?
Load flow is a real network solution (Y-bus Gaussian elimination or Newton-Raphson); short circuit follows IEC 60909 (three-phase, two-phase, two-phase-to-earth and single-phase-to-earth); harmonics are compared against IEEE 519, IEC 61000, GB/T 14549 and ER G5/5; protection curves follow IEC 60255-151; arc flash and person protection follow IEEE 1584 and IEC 60364-4-41.
04Can I use the results directly for construction?
No. Results are scheme and feasibility level. They are intended for comparison, pre-sales engineering and quick verification, and must be reviewed by a responsible engineer before construction.
05Can I export a PDF?
There is no PDF export. A design package exports as a self-contained HTML design document, plus drawings as SVG or DXF R12 and tables as CSV; the whole set can be downloaded as one ZIP.
06Does it do transient or stability analysis?
No. The engine is steady-state. Motor starting, transformer inrush and switching events are covered by engineering estimates, not a full time-domain or electromechanical machine model.
07Where do equipment data and prices come from?
Ratings come from the equipment catalogue and are treated as indicative; the bill of materials carries an estimated equipment price plus an allowance for installation and commissioning. A formal quotation is issued by the manufacturer after review.
08Can I share a scheme with a client or a colleague?
Yes. Press Share to create a signed, read-only link that renders the saved scheme without sign-in. The client sees the summary and can open the full design document; your editable canvas is not exposed.
09What languages are supported?
The UI ships EN / 中文 as the maintained pair (switch with ?lang=en / ?lang=zh). Nine further languages exist as framework translations of the dictionary only.
10How do I get a formal quotation?
Open the contact page and send the scheme to an engineer, or use the review button inside the report, drawings and deliverables pages. The scheme link travels with the enquiry so the reply can quote the exact configuration.
